HYUNDAI Digital Technology licenses ANT Galio client

HYUNDAI Digital Technology (HDT) has licensed the ANT Galio client for its next generation set-top box (STB) to be targeted at operators worldwide, ANT said last week.

The ANT Galio client supports multiple TV applications running concurrently and allows the introduction of new features and applications without disrupting current service.

Minnesota telcos rely on Calix solution forIPTV over GPON

Three Minnesota telecommunications providers have deployed Calix 700G GPON Optical Network Terminals (ONTs) throughout the state to provide advanced information, communication and entertainment services over fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) networks.

The companies include Paul Bunyan Telephone Cooperative, Garden Valley Telephone and Consolidated Telecommunications.

France Telecom subsidiary Viaccess has signed an agreement to acquire a 100-percent stake in Orca Interactive for an estimated price of $21.4 million.
