Sprint for this year’s Super Bowl match-up between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants created a Web site specially formatted for wireless handsets featuring access to video clips and other game content.
Fans could access the site by texting a code through mobile devices using the Sprint or Nextel service. Material included information on Super Bowl events and attractions, a Top 10 list of things to do in Arizona, where the game was held and game analyses. Video segments from Super Bowl events occurring throughout the week leading up to the game were also accessible.
NFL Mobile, Sprint’s NFL product for wireless customers, featured a live stream from the NFL Network televising all the official Super Bowl XLII press conferences as well as player and coach interviews. Sprint also included updates with Super Bowl XLII-specific news and information, Super Bowl archive video highlights and a daily blog from NFL Network's Adam Schefter.
