Sony reports that its HDCAM was used by a number of filmmakers at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival.
Digital cinematography has found its voice and audience at the festival, according to Ian Calderon, director or digital initiatives for The Sundance Institute.
The HDCAM CineAlta line and XDCAM Professional Disc system are both being showcased at the Sundance Digital Center. Sony is also offering free workshops for film professionals who are interested in digital production from acquisition to editing.
