SingTel taps Nokia Siemens streaming technology for mobile TV launch
By TVTechnology published
Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) has launched a mobile TV service using Nokia Siemens Networks’ Media Delivery Solution (MDS) 3.5 mobile TV streaming solution. The offering complements SingTel’s existing mio TV service and gives consumers more options for accessing pay TV content across multiple viewing platforms. The MDS 3.5 allows the operator to provide live TV channels with Electronic Program Guide (EPG) information and video-on-demand (VOD) services. The application is based on Adobe’s Flash Lite technology and can be extended to support various standards, including unicast video streaming and other advanced technologies.
