Satellite Update

The FCC granted an application from PanAmSat Licensee Corp. for special temporary authority to conduct space station telemetry, tracking, control and monitoring operations in the 5925.5, 6425.5, 4197.125 and 4198.875 MHz frequencies during the relocation of the Galaxy 17 satellite from 81 degrees west longitude to 75.5 degrees WL. It also authorized in-orbit testing of Galaxy 17 at 75.5 degrees WL in conventional C- and Ku-bands. This information is found in FCC Report SAT-00446.
