RTL-TVi in Belgium was the recipient of the IBC2007 Content Management award for its instant tapeless production system.
The system, based on an EVS server, is responsible for an efficient production workflow that allows RTL-TVi staff to browse from their desktops for content. The new workflow relies on dual-resolution encoding to support the browse capability as well as online quality for transmission. Content from sources as diverse as cameras, graphics and satellite feeds resides in the tapeless environment.
Broadcast Center Europe in Luxembourg and the Centre National de’Audiovisual were also in the running for the honor.
