OmniBus Automates KBDI
By TVTechnology published
OmniBus has installed its automation system at KBDI-TV, a PBS member station that serves the Denver and surrounding communities on the Colorado Front Range. The installation will control three digital channels and facilitate archiving of broadcast material.
OmniBus will provide individually tailored soft-panel tools for moving content through the facility to air. The system's remote control capability allows users to log in and find their customized interface on the desktop, making the work environment more flexible. The system's go-live date is slated for June.
Implementing the automation system is the "engine and brains" of a new digital content delivery center, according to Richard Eversley, chief engineer.
KBDI broadcasts everything from independent filmmakers and local and international producers to PBS Kids programming and other educational content.
