New Tiger Woods Learning Center scores a birdie with help of AV systems

The Tiger Woods Learning Center (TWLC), an innovative youth education facility in Anaheim, CA, has completed a five-phase consulting, design and installation project.

The two-story 35,000sq ft center, officially opened in January, provides students in grades 5 to 12 with enrichment programs in reading, math, science and technology. Specific classes promote career exploration and preparation in areas including forensic science, engineering, aerospace, video production and home design. The 14-acre campus was designed to provide students with access to the most interactive, technologically advanced equipment and curriculums.

TV Magic engineers worked with the TWLC in building sophisticated AV systems into the new facility to ensure an optimal teaching and learning environment. The installation incorporated the facility's auditorium, seven classrooms and a boardroom. The classrooms and boardroom are equipped with projectors, screens and sound systems. TV Magic outfitted the auditorium with surround-sound speakers, a custom 20ft by 12ft Stewart screen, a Polycom videoconferencing system, AMX control, a Sanyo projector, JBL speakers and a variety of smaller audio components.
