New MNF technical team for 2006

Emmy Award-winning producer Jay Rothman and director Chip Dean will take the reigns of ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” telecasts for the 2006-2007 NFL season. The duo has worked together on ESPN’s “Sunday Night Football” broadcasts since 2001.

The 2006 “Monday Night Football” season will be their 16th consecutive season as a producer-director tandem on football telecasts for ESPN and ABC Sports.

Rothman and Dean have also teamed up on a variety of other high-profile telecasts, including three college football national championships for ABC Sports, Men’s College Basketball, the NFL Draft, X Games, 1994 FIFA World Cup and Major League Baseball.

Last April, ESPN and the National Football League reached an eight-yearagreement to move “MNF” to ESPN beginning with the 2006 season, concluding the show’s 36-year run on ABC this year.
