NAB Show features a Content Theater

The NAB’s Content Theater will include stereoscopic 3-D, FX, animation and new media content. It’s housed in a state-of-the-art digital screening room where top Hollywood filmmakers and executives reveal how they used new technologies to produce and distribute their latest releases across the four screens: film, TV, broadband and wireless.

Industry leaders appearing there include Bryan Fuller, creator, “Pushing Daisies,” who joins executive producer/director Barry Sonnenfeld in a session dedicated to the critically acclaimed show; Harry Shearer, comedian/political satirist; Don Was, Grammy award-winning music producer and Rob Barnett, president/CEO, “My Damn Channel,” who will share the stage in a panel about the entertainment site My Damn Channel; as well as Evan Spiridellis, co-founder JibJab Media Inc. and Kent Nichols, co-creator AskANinja.com, two of five broadband pioneers who will look at independent online programming.

Though Apple won’t be attending NAB, its customers will be. The Final Cut Pro User Group Network has announced that the 7th Annual NAB FCPUG SuperMeet will be held at the MGM Grand Hotel’s Grand Ballroom, Wednesday, April 16, beginning at 7 p.m.. Tickets are $15 per person and include three raffle tickets.
