This month KOKI-TV (FOX23) in Tulsa, OK, will begin making interactive content available to cell phones and PDAs free of charge with its deployment of an interactive mobile portal.
The FOX Television affiliate's mobile portal lets users access local video and text stories. FOX23 Mobile will offer top news stories, breaking news, breaking weather, sports, entertainment and business stories at no cost to the user. The mobile portal will be available via multiple U.S. carriers.
The station is relying on U-Turn Media Group in Denver, CO, to deploy the portal. U-Turn technology has been deployed by WISC-TV in Madison, WI, and WKMG-TV in Orlando, FL.
