JVC rolls out large D-ILA consumer HD sets in Japan
By TVTechnology published
JVC has begun shipping two new rear projection HDTVs in Japan based on its Direct-Drive Image Light Amplifier (D-ILA) high-resolution microdisplay device technology.
The sets, available in 52in (HD-52MD60) and 61in (HD-61MD60) sizes, support terrestrial, broadcast satellite and 110-degree CS digital high-definition broadcasts and feature Genessa "Image Intelligence.”
JVC will market the rear projection HDTVs using D-ILA device as the Big Screen EXE series. The company has positioned the new sets as the third JVC option for large-screen flat panel televisions, in addition to the company's existing plasma and LCD television offerings.
