German broadcaster HR turns to DK-Technologies for sync systems

Danish AV equipment manufacturer DK-Technologies has supplied equipment for a number of redundant dual-sync systems for German public broadcaster Hessischer Rundfunk (HR).

HR broadcasts TV and radio programming to the German state of Hessen, and is also a member of the ARD, the nationwide association of regional public broadcasters in Germany that operates the “First Programme.”

HR has its main broadcasting center in Frankfurt and regional broadcasting centers in Hessen. All are interconnected through an internal network.

The regional centers in Kassel and Frankfurt have now been equipped with a redundant dual-sync system consisting of two DK PT5300 HD/SD sync generators and one DK PT5211 changeover unit. These devices operate as additional master sync generators for the whole center and complement the sync systems already in service.
