ESPN and Major League Baseball have struck an eight-year $2.4 billion regular season agreement running through 2013.
Sunday Night Baseball will continue, with additional exclusive team appearances. The New "Monday Night Baseball" franchise will co-exist with local carriers for the most part, so ESPN will have nearly no blackouts for these two franchises.
The two organizations have already reached agreements about covering rights across ESPN Radio, ESPN.com, ESPN Deportes.com, ESPN360, the company's interactive broadband service, ESPN Mobile, ESPN's mobile phone service and the company's wireless content licensing business.
