Madrid-based Unedisa Telecomunicaciones has chosen EVS technology for its new production center at El Mundo TV. The company will use a six-channel XT[2] production server controlled by the IP Director software for production and playout in the studio. The server is used to introduce content instantly and for playout of news, entertainment programs and sports. The XT[2] is integrated with existing infrastructure including Snell & Wilcox Kahuna switchers and Avid Unity storage.
El Mundo TV also installed the EVS XStore[2] for content storage, which also will be used as the main gateway among the XT[2] server, the production stations and Avid post-production stations for news.
