Crispin offers new product support plan

Crispin has unveiled a new, no annual fee support plan for its customers, called “Crispin 4 Life.”

Under Crispin 4 Life, all current and future Crispin customers are eligible for up to seven years of free technical support for their solution at its initial location of installation. The company said it chose that time period based on the observed times of replacement cycles among its customer base.

Alan DeVaney, president and founder of Crispin, said the new plan relieves the pressure and cost of an ongoing fee requirement, often charged by others in the industry.

The new policy will not cover any elective changes a customer makes to their system (e.g., new traffic system) nor does it extend to hardware. Hardware, however, is still covered under Crispin’s standard three-year warranty.

In addition, the new plan does not include any upgrades that qualify as new products or which add significant new functionality to existing products. Crispin will provide maintenance releases as necessary, during the seven-year period. Industry standard drivers as defined by Crispin are included as are fixes to these drivers.
