BDL-Autoscript--now simply Autoscript--has hired a new managing director and president of its U.S. division.

Brian Larter has assumed the managing director role for the teleprompter technology provider. Larter previously worked in sales and rental for Autocue in 1986, an Autoscript competitor. He came on board to Autoscript in September.

Hired as the president of the U.S. division, Michael Accardi comes to Autoscript after serving of vice president of sales and operations for QTV--a Stamford, Conn.-based supplier of prompters.
