BBC Arabic Installs W&D Talkback

The new BBC World Arabic service is using a wireless talkback system from British firm Wood & Douglas.

The contract for design and installation work at the revamped Broadcasting House facility in West London went to Dega Broadcast Systems, which then contacted Wood & Douglas for the talkback technology.

The new BBC Arabic service occupies two floors, each with specially developed television and multimedia studios from which it develops television, radio and online content.

The Wood & Douglas system provides eight channels of interference-free wireless talkback, with coverage over both floors, and uses Symphony wireless talkback base units as well as Solo and Duo portable talkback packs.
