Acrodyne Industries recently completed a $4 million turnkey project under contract from the school board of Broward County, FL, to construct a complete TV broadcast transmission facility that included two of QUANTUM IOT Depressed Collector transmitters.

Ai provided an entire turnkey solution from the antenna to the electrical switchgear system, including the studio processing equipment. The system included a generator and flywheel system integrated to automatically switch as Florida power goes on or off.

Other gear included the microwave system, which consists of DTV encoding systems for the digital TV system and the analog processing gear. Both two-tube QUANTUM Depressed Collector systems, QDCN2 and QDC2, were installed on schedule.
