SintecMedia enables addition of interactive content

SintecMedia unveiled its eTV/iTV functionality for the company's OnAir broadcast management system. OnAir's new eTV/iTV feature simplifies the task of adding interactive content to TV broadcasts.

Digital broadcasting and the interactive possibilities it presents allow for the display of a secondary layer of content, whether video or an application of some sort, such as a game or poll. OnAir now supports delivery of that secondary or virtual channel, instructing the automation system when and how to indicate to the viewer that interactive content is available. It acts as a bridge between the primary channel and the virtual channel and dictates the content to be displayed when the viewer selects different interactive menu items.

OnAir also provides a template-based approach to building interactive content, eliminating redundant data entry and minimizing errors.
