Front Porch Digital has been selected by Nickelodeon UK to implement its new DIVArchive (Distributed Intelligent Versatile Archive), an archive management solution for broadcast applications. Nickelodeon UK, a joint venture of Viacom and BSkyB, is a kids’ TV network in the U.K. DIVArchive simplifies the process of preserving, managing, and accessing content.
The new DIVArchive system will manage a 17TB online disk array storage disk and connect to Pinnacle MediaStream 8000 video servers for ingest and playout under the control of a Harris automation system via VACP.
