On Sept. 21, Beijing Olympic Broadcasting (BOB) selected eight Chinese TV stations to produce the international TV and radio feed for seven sports from the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
BOB signed a memorandum of cooperation with CCTV, Beijing TV, Guangdong TV, Jiangsu Broadcasting Station, Liaoning TV, Shanghai Media Group, Tianjin TV and Zhejiang TV to produce coverage of soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis, table tennis, badminton and the modern pentathlon for the games.
The memorandum is the first agreement BOB has entered into for television production services for the games. BOB will sign contracts with broadcasting teams from around the world to produce international television and radio feeds for all 28 sports to be used by more than 200 broadcast rights holders worldwide.
