Shining Technology introduced the CitiDISK CFR ultra-portable tapeless digital video recorder at the NAB Show.

Using CompactFlash cards with a minimum of 30GB of capacity, CitiDISK CFR offers users greater portability and ease-of-use, especially when shooting in the field.

Weighing 6oz with a thin form factor, CitiDISK CFR is battery-operated with up to eight hours of runtime and easily attaches to nearly any FireWire-enabled video camera. Its tapeless workflow saves videographers and editors hours of digitizing videotapes.

With CitiDISK CFR, users seamlessly record their footage directly to digital video formats (DV/HDV) and access it immediately for editing.
