Avid's Symphony system is now available on the Mac OS X platform. Symphony v4.7 is Avid's Mac platform-based post production system with real-time finishing capabilities, including color correction, 10-bit DVE and Ultimatte keying.
Avid is also making Media Composer XL, Film Composer XL and Avid Xpress systems available for MAC OS X. The new version includes real-time Symphony-style color correction as well as 23.976 fps project support for all Media Composer systems. Avid's new MetaSync, which allows editors to synchronize metadata with traditional video and audio content, will also be available on these Mac platform-based products
Avid is offering discounts up to 22 percent for the new systems until March 28, 2003.
