Pixelmetrix Unveils New Test Stream Generator for IPTV at IBC2006

At IBC, Pixelmetrix is unveiling its IPTV Test Stream Generator (IPGen), a high-performance tool for the evaluation, compliance testing and verification of networks, monitoring and equipment analysis.

The IPGen comes as optional software for the Pixelmetrix DVStor-IP, a hard-disk based system that allows non-stop simultaneous recording of multiple channels of transmitted IP video. The IPGen can generate up to seven unique transport streams simultaneously and up to 900 Mbps of IPTV traffic. It supports both SPTS (single-program transport stream) and MPTS (multiple-program transport stream) generation, as well as UDP and RTP streaming. The IPGen also allows restamping of continuity count and insertion of PCR discontinuity flag during transport stream loopback.

Pixelmetrix will also present its enhanced DVStation-IP, an MPEG-2 test and monitoring platform ideal for operators requiring the transmission of video and data over Internet or other IP networks. It now features Service View, which spans multiple TS and audio/video parameters in a concise format, in a 19-inch, 2 RU rack mount enclosure.

Pixelmetrix will be in Stand 1.426a.
