Sundance marks second decade with makeover

Sundance Digital is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a new Website, www.sundancedigital.com.

After a decade of innovation in a rapidly evolving industry, Sundance Digital is sporting a new look as it enters its second decade supplying broadcast automation solutions for master control and the newsroom.

Established in 1994, the company was among the first to produce Windows-based broadcast automation software. The first product, FastBreak, was designed to control the then emerging technology of digital disk recorders for commercial spot playback at TV stations.

Recognizing the industry’s need for scalability, Sundance responded with products such as FastBreak Automation - a comprehensive facility solution to manage information and control the playback of all material in broadcast master control. FastBreak was followed by Titan - a highly-scalable automation system able to control many hundreds of channels in a facility or remotely manage playlists at multiple geographically separated locations. The company also entered the realm of news operations with NewsLink - an automation product to enhance newsroom efficiency and the quality of on-air newscasts by integrating new and legacy media devices into an efficient, fully digital workflow.

The company will relocate its expanding staff into larger quarters in February – the third time in five years. Today Sundance product offerings touch virtually every facet of television station operations - including the digital newsroom.

Sundance is also celebrating its anniversary with a comprehensive image makeover. Following extensive industry research, the company launched a marketing campaign replete with redesigned logo, Web site and print advertisements.
