SignaSys wins OETA contract for master control upgrade

Oklahoma public broadcasting network (OETA) has awarded SignaSys a turnkey contract for its master control upgrade project. With full-power stations in Tulsa, Cheyenne, Eufalua and Oklahoma City, OETA operates the statewide network of PBS stations from its central facility in Oklahoma City. The SignaSys project will transition OETA from analog legacy systems to new central automation, multi-channel master control, disk-based media and digital asset management, as well as digital infrastructure and encoding systems.

The project is scheduled to deliver digital PBS and OETA programming in Q3 2005. In accordance with a nationwide initiative by PBS Member stations to upgrade their systems for digital distribution of programming, OETA will deliver multiple channels of programming from a fully automated and nearly tapeless facility as a result of this project.
