Three Stations Transition to DTV With KTech Transmitter
By TVTechnology published
Ktech Telecommunications recently sold four 100-W DTV transmitters to stations making the federally mandated transition to digital broadcasting.
The stations are:
* WNET-TV, New York City (PBS)
* KMAS-TV, Denver; (Telemundo)
* WTVA-TV, Tupelo, Miss. (NBC)
The low-cost transmitters use the digitally implemented 8-VSB modulator with automatic linear and nonlinear precorrection capability, an SD Harmonic encoder, a DTV mask filter and a Pineapple RF power amplifier. The transmitters are upgradeable to higher power for expanded coverage.
