Patriot Antenna Systems has acquired the tools and production rights from Vertex RSI (a Tri-point Global company) for its 6.1-meter satellite antenna and is transferring all related tooling to Patriot's facility in Albion, Mich. The antenna will be marketed and sold under the Patriot Brand name.
This addition to Patriot's line of 24 other receive-only and transmit/receive antennas gives the company one of the largest ground station product offerings in the satellite industry.
"The acquisition of this 6.1 meter antenna is part of a larger plan to improve and expand our line of receive-only antennas for the broadcast, radio and cable markets, an area which has represented our core business in the past," said Patriot Antenna Systems president Jeff Mathie. The deal builds on Patriot's recent purchase and relocation of Antenna Downlink Inc. (ADL).
