Indiana reform opens gates to video competition, investment

Two years after a telecom and video reform was signed into law, more than 300,000 dwellings in Indiana have access to AT&T U-verse TV and Internet, the company said Monday.

Since introducing U-verse TV to Indiana in December 2006, AT&T has made the service available in parts of Anderson, Bloomington, Indianapolis, Kokomo and Muncie. The service also is available in parts of Lake County, with plans to reach even more Indiana communities.

Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels signed HEA 1279 into law in 2006. Since its passage, telecom and cable companies throughout the state have spent more than $500 million to deliver entertainment and communications services.
