CBS's ongoing campaign to expand its Internet presences got a big shot in the arm this week as the Tiffany network announced a deal to sell downloads of some of its top prime time programs on Google.
The announcement, made at CES in Las Vegas, comes amid speculation that Google will launch its own VOD service. Last week CBS announced a similar, but limited arrangement to stream several primetime shows on Yahoo. Google also streamed an episode of the UPN show "Everybody Hates Chris" last fall.
Google launched its own video search engine a year ago.
