FCC Tower Database Now Features Google Earth

Building and terrain features from Google Earth were recently added to the FCC's tower database.

Cavell Mertz & Associates, the Manassas, Va.-based engineering consulting firm that has been providing online database services to FCCInfo.com for several years, recently merged this information with building and terrain features in Google Earth to create 3D displays of tower heights and microwave paths. If users click on a station’s "balloon" display they will see additional details such as its channel number and owner. Additional links are also provided to FCCinfo.com.
