FCC publishes cable DTV rulemaking notice

published The Federal Communications Commission released to the public May 4 its Notice of Proposed Rulemaking regarding proposals to make sure viewers can receive must-carry TV stations via cable after the completion of the transition to digital transmission in February 2009.
There are about 32 million cable households that receive only analog cable service, and the rulemaking notice is aimed at finding ways that they will not lose service post transition.
