Experimental Licenses Granted

The FCC released a list of experimental applications granted from April 1 to May 1, 2004. Readers concerned out BPL interference may be interested in license WD2XIZ, issued to AT&T Corp. to operate between 1.705 - 80 MHz for testing broadband over power lines in Menlo Park Calif., Florham Park, N.J., Middletown, N.J. and Miami Fla. Boeing was granted a license to use spectrum between 30 and 18,000 MHz for testing with F-18 aircraft. Rockwell Collins was allowed to use frequencies in the UHF TV band - 476-482, 488-494, 752-794 MHz - for the test and development of telecommunications technologies for the military.
