ESPN selected National TeleConsultants (NTC) to design, fabricate and install the core systems at ESPN's Digital Center in Bristol, Conn. The core systems include a large high-definition routing system. NTC is responsible for managing overall integration of components and applications from several hardware and software partners. The network hopes the project will yield a server-based facility suitable for popular sports broadcasters. The expected completion date for the Digital Center is 2005.
