Electronics Research awarded 4 Times Square contract


The new 385-foot tower will be mounted on the 4 Times Square building in New York City. The tower will support a new master FM antenna and multiple analog and digital television antennas

Electronics Research has been awarded a contract by The Durst Organization to design, manufacture, and deliver a 385-foot tower to be mounted on the 4 Times Square building in New York City.

The building is one of Durst’s newest properties, a 48-story office tower located at the corner of 42nd Street and Broadway. In addition to the design and manufacture of the steel structure, the contract also includes site supervision related to the erection of the tower.

ERI will also supply the gin poles used to erect the new structure and provide the structural engineering services associated with the installation. ERI will provide structural analysis services needed to support the modification of the existing 75-foot tower installed on the building so that the roof can be made to accommodate the new tower. The new tower will support a new master FM antenna and multiple analog and digital television antennas.
