According to the article, in October Mercedes-Benz will offer a digital TV option for its existing analog TV tuner and COMAND control and display system. The article said that Mercedes will use four antennas and two tuners "to guarantee good reception stability". The equipment can be operated by remote control or from the display. If you are concerned about the driver watching the TV instead of the road, TV reception on the front display is shut off at speeds above approximately 8 km/h. Rear seat passengers, however, can enjoy digital TV at speeds up to 140 km/h.
