While the Live 8 concert last weekend was intended to draw the attention of the world’s political and financial leaders to relieve debt for African nations, it also attracted the attention of HDTV aficionados in Europe.
The BBC broadcast displayed HD coverage of the event on a 17ft-wide screen in Cardiff as part of its live coverage of the musical extravaganza.
The Cardiff exhibition was the only part of the event presented in HD.
