119th AES Convention to explore audio for HDTV

The upcoming AES Convention this October in New York City will feature a panel on audio for HDTV.
The panel will examine the advances in the evolution of multichannel technology, and will be chaired by Andy Butler, PBS director of engineering. Topics will cover production, transmission, reception and other high priority issues critical to establishing wide acceptance for HDTV.
Other panelists will include Rocky Graham of Dolby Laboratories, Alan Kraemer of SRS, and Geir Skaaden of Neural Audio.
The convention will be held at Jacob Javits Convention Center Oct. 7 - Oct. 10.
