Polish national broadcaster, Telewizja Polska (TVP) has selected the DaletPlus News Suite to digitize its sports newsroom.
Located in Warsaw, Poland, this integrated digital newsroom will be used to ensure the production, play-out and archiving of sports broadcast on the national Polish television network. This tapeless newsroom is to be the first step to an overall digitization of TVP infrastructures.
The Dalet production and play-out platform will take advantage of the MOS, MXF and XML protocols to integrate a number of systems including: the existing newsroom computer system used at TVP, Sony XDCAM decks, legacy Avid nonlinear editing systems, Viz|rt computer graphics engines, Omneon Spectrum media servers and Xendata Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM) systems.
