At IBC2006 next month in Amsterdam, Orad will highlight its 3DTicker software, an Active X-based application that can be used as a stand-alone ticker system, incorporated as part of the company’s Maestro controller or implemented as part of a dedicated controller.
Operation of 3DTicker, which provides an intuitive, easy-to-use interface, is based on a drag-and-drop approach in which ticker content is introduced manually or extracted from external databases, including those for sports, weather or financial information. RSS feeds and SMS messages are also supported. No knowledge of scripting is necessary to connect to a particular database.
The ticker can scroll in any direction and multiple tickers — each with its own content and schedule — can be displayed at the same time. Users can control ticker speed, number of loops and the start and end time of each ticker message.
