SysMedia will be on the exhibition floor to launch its new 2017 test generator for additional DVB data services such as teletext and subtitling. The 2017 provides a complete DVB output with video, audio and teletext test data that can verify teletext decoder compliance against industry benchmarks.
The test generator includes an internal reference video source and optional UHF/VHF multistandard modulator so it can be connected directly to a set-top-box or television under test. Alternatively the unit can be fed with available DVB-ASI or analogue video, and the output connected to an existing modulator.
SysMedia’s 2017 has been designed as a one-stop test solution for today’s new generation of iDTVs, set-top boxes and chipsets. A standard Web browser connected via a TCP/IP network interface is used for all configuration settings, allowing flexibility in remote operation of the unit.
