The Society of Broadcast Engineers has named Larry Wilkins as its national Broadcast Engineer of the Year.
The SBE honors recipients for making significant contributions to broadcast engineering and for furthering the group’s goals. Recipients must be SBE members and are nominated by their peers.
Wilkins is assistant director of engineering for Cumulus Broadcasting and lives in Prattville, AL. He is also the Alabama state chairman of the Emergency Alert System and conducts that state’s Alternative Broadcast Inspection Program through the Alabama Broadcasters Association.
Wilkins is a member of the national Board of Directors of SBE and is a member of SBE’s National Certification Committee.
