Nextel to deliver 2GHz relocation presentation at NAB2005

Engineers and technicians grappling with the ongoing re-banding of ENG equipment will want to leave time open to attend a special briefing at NAB2005.

Nextel, which is financially responsible for the costs of relocating Broadcast Auxiliary Service (BAS) licensees, will sponsor the event Tuesday, April 19, from 3:30 to 4 p.m. at the convention in Las Vegas.

The event will include a presentation from Michael Degitz, vice president Nextel Spectrum Resources, and Cindy Hutter, director Nextel Broadcast Engineering. They will provide background information and discuss transitioning from the current to the new channel plan. The session will conclude with a Q&A session.

NASCAR fan 2GHz BAS incumbents will want to attend a reception the company is sponsoring with NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series driver Jeremy Mayfield of the #19 Dodge Dealers/UAW Motorsports car on Wednesday, April 20, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Nextel Central Monorail Station.
