NAB2007 IPTV World forum to feature high-profile keynotes

NAB2007’s Second Annual IPTV World Summit will feature several keynotes, including one from Brian Levy, Hewlett Packard vice president and chief technical officer, communications, media and entertainment.

More than 500 speakers, attendees and sponsors will convene April 18 in the Las Vegas Convention Center during NAB2007 to consider the next steps in the IPTV revolution as telephone companies roll out networks that compete with cable and satellite.

The summit will also examine how hundreds of small, rural telcos are rolling out their own IPTV services around the country, and what the United States can learn from successful IPTV roll-outs abroad.

Other IPTV Word summit keynotes will be delivered by:

· Peter Barrett, Microsoft TV chief technical officer and general manager of engineering;
· Sheau Ng, NBC Universal vice president, consumer and broadcast technology; and
· Joseph Ambeault, Verizon communication director, consumer television products.
