Azcar Technologies has been contracted to install DTV equipment for all 23 stations in Scranton, Penn.-based Nexstar Broadcasting Group. The equipment list includes Tandberg Television encoders and monitoring systems.
In order to hold down costs, Azcar developed a system in Nexstar's Champaign/Springfield, Ill., market to share a common encoding platform, combining the signals of the Nexstar's CBS affiliate in Champaign with the UPN station in Springfield.
