CleanEdit for news to make splash at EVS stand

EVS' Clean Edit system

Editing and MXF-based interoperability with hardware from other vendors will be the highlights on display from EVS at IBC2004.

EVS continues to develop its slow motion replay systems, and HD XT-servers are beginning to be used extensively as highlights editors.

The company will unveil its CleanEdit with the news configuration, on air at RTL-TVI in Brussels since this spring. The news configuration is based on proxy-editing and allows multiple formats to co-exist within an edit. The end-to-end workflow includes desktop voice-over recording. Playout is nearly instant because it requires no rendering.

CleanEdit for sports runs on SportServer. It features highly efficient editing during ingest of live feeds with transition effects using animated graphics. The finished edits can be played locally with no delay or rendered and placed onto an XT-server for playout, optionally under control of the video switcher.
