AJA Video debuted two new smaller, low-cost Io editing cards at InterBEE this week. Io LD and Io LA support 10-bit uncompressed video on digital and analog inputs and outputs, work with Final Cut Pro 4.1 and connect to the Apple Power Mac with a 400mb FireWire cable.
Like the original Io cards, LD and LA have multi-channel 24-bit audio, RS-422 machine control and Genlock. Io LD works with SDI digital systems and Io LA is for analog component or composite systems. AJA says the 10-bit video design on analog and digital inputs and outputs in an important feature for editors because they can select Io LD or Io LA according to their needs.
