Damian DiCarlo, 34, Director of Sales for CSI died in an automobile accident on Thursday, Sept. 16. Survivors include his wife Karen, and two sons, Daniel, 4, and one-and-a-half-year-old Michael.
"We are stunned and saddened at this heart-breaking news," said John Lopinto, CSI president and CEO. "Damian was a rare asset to his customers, his coworkers and the A/V industry."
In 1999 DiCarlo joined the CSI sales department and became the director of sales in 2003. He supervised the internal sales force from the California sales office. The company is based in Long Island, N.Y.
DiCarlo worked in the professional A/V industry for six years before CSI hired him. He held a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California at Irvine and later earned a certificate in international marketing from California State University at Fullerton. He also earned a certificate in training in export administration regulations from the Commerce Dept.
