Cisco self-defending network has PR problem
By TVTechnology published
Cisco’s self-defending network has an image problem. According to a report on Russian security Web site SecurityLab, malicious hackers broke into Cisco’s corporate network and stole 800MB of source code for its IOS 12.3 and 12.3t networking hardware.
Cisco has confirmed the security breach, but won’t say what was stolen. However, the individuals who claim to have stolen the code have shown around portions of it — making it far more than just an image problem, according to a report by www.siliconvalley.com.
